U.S. GDP
GDP, gross domestic product, is revised not just twice for each quarter, but then every few quarters you get a broader revision on past one’s going years back. It’s simply a matter of past statistics becoming more accurate over time as data flows in.
So, after the most recent revision on second-quarter GDP, about a week ago, from 4.1% to 4.2% (annualized), I thought I would post the quarterly GDP rates since 2012, as revised by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Annualized rates of growth (or contraction). You will see a few repeat numbers, these aren’t typos.
