Stuff
–Harvey Araton wrote a piece in the Times the other day
concerning the New Jersey Nets and the search for a new arena.
Araton has a simple solution…share the Garden with the Knicks,
a la the Lakers / Clippers arrangement in L.A. with the Staples
Center. But it makes too much sense, so it will never happen.
Great way to keep Jason Kidd around, though.
–Well, the Philadelphia Inquirer published a story confirming
what many of us suspected; Allen Iverson may have been a target
of the nightclub shooting the other day that wounded his friend.
As of this writing, a suspect is still at large. Iverson will never
learn.
–I realize many of you have already heard this, but it bears
repeating. We’re talking about the story of the dog, Dosha.
Hit by a car on April 15 near her owner’s home in Clearwater,
California, a policeman fired a shot into Dosha’s head to put the
mut out of her misery. Dosha was then packed in a plastic bag
and put in a veterinarian’s freezer. Two hours later the vet
opened the door and………….holy cow, err, dog! Dosha was
standing upright inside the bag, and is now doing just fine.
–Charles Douglass, the inventor of the laugh track, died at age
93. Actually, I don’t know if we should be honoring him or not.
Top 3 songs for the week of April 25, 1970: #1 “ABC” (The
Jackson 5) #2 “Let It Be” (The Beatles) #3 “Spirit In The Sky”
(Norman Greenbaum…simply dreadful)
